No advertisements, please

I'm happy people are still reading my blog. I'm sick of ads disguised as real comments, though. So, if you want to leave a real comment, I'm still happy to have them and read them. (And yes, I'm still planning on posting another picture at some point.) But refrain from including links to dental, orthodontic or any other services or your comment will be deleted, no matter how nice it is. This includes the link to your website from your name. A link to your personal website, braces blog, or similar fine, but please no businesses!

just typed up a whole load of stuff and now its gone!! I wanted to know, regards your eyeteeth, at the start they kind of pointed inwards at the lower parts of them. was this the reason you got elastics on them, as at the end, they are nice and straight down, not inward pointing anymore. I have the same problem with pointing inward but ortho can't seem to understand my worry, they did not point inward when he started. thanks

You probably won't even see this comment for ages, but anyway...

I'm about 5 months into my braces and I've found your blog very helpful!

Quick question: How did you manage to keep your teeth so white? I drink a lot of tea and whitening tooth paste doesn't seem to work that great. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Owen

Anonymous, I don't know what eyeteeth are. I got elastics one time to move the midline over, i.e. the midline of upper and lower teeth didn't match up. And the other time to close a gap in my bite.

gannono2, just regular brushing with regular tooth paste. I tried to drink less of the staining liquids while I had braces. You could also try to swish with plain water every time shortly after you drink your tea, so that residue doesn't stay on the teeth. My teeth are naturally yellowish and I didn't do anything to whiten them.

Cheers, I'll give it a go... mine are like that as well, but only when close up. I'm taking pictures of my mouth as well to track my progress very similar to what you did (I haven't started the blog yet, as I'm planning to build a website for my progress instead of a blog) and was getting worried when I saw the stains in the pics ha!

Was reading anonymous' comment... eyeteeth are the fangs, and I'd say your ortho isn't worried at the moment as it'll all be corrected before they come off. I don't have elastics (I don't think I'll be getting them either) but I did have to wear an invisalign retainer to fix my bite for 3 months.
