Excitement
So this is what my power chains look like. I've gotten a couple of other compliments on the color over the weeks. These things are really nothing to be afraid of. The first couple of days of course there was some discomfort when chewing etc. but not much.
Today is my next appointment with the ortho in about half an hour. I'm excited what's going to happen today...

Do you still have to wear elastics or are you without now?
I didn't have to wear elastics since getting the power chains.

my orthodanist said i had to get chains i dont know if im getting power chains though by the way love the colors.
hey have any of you guys tried the Platypus flosser? I just got my braces on and I am having the hardest time flossing. I want to buy some cause i saw they sell them online at http://www.platypusco.com but I thought I would run it past you all before hand. Any hints would be great!
I haven't tried that flosser. I don't understand from the pictures on the site how it would fit under the archwire.
i had braces for 5 yrs age 25-30 with so many hassels...but ultimately the result was awesome..5 years, 3 years of elastics, so many different configs...i hated the fixed appliances b/c of my bone loss b/c of a capped baby tooth that receded...5 years of fun, but the end result is a great smile though! good job!
i loved having the last wire for 3 months, nothing but a perfect smile with closing elastics, but the triangles from 3-6 were hard at night, and the last month i had to wear them all the time...but bite is perfect now!! my wife can't believe the picture the day the braces came off..the before and after were crazy, i kept the braces too....crazy how far they came!
